Swedish 19th century alder root tilt top side table circa 1860.
Fine quality square top table made from alder root. Top when down is secured by peg and latch and provides a stable surface on the block. Supported by a turned stained birch stem, 3 scrolled legs witch stand on a pad foot.
Good rich colour.
Many possibilities and uses for this table, with the tilt top feature allowing it to be stored away when not in use.
Minor expected surface marks from use, surface fading to top surface.
