Cumbrae Bookcase by Morris of Glasgow

We are delighted to offer for auction this Vintage 1960’s Cumbrae Furniture By Morris of Glasgow display/bookcase cabinet.

This mid century cabinet were design and manufactured in Scotland on the 60’s. The stylish piece features two glass slinding doors on top and two on the lower part. Each level has two adjustable shelves and the middle section can be use as shelf too but it is not adjustable. In 1947 Morris became the favoured supplier of Royalty and were commissioned to design and fit a special bedroom suite for the Queen and Prince Philip as a royal wedding gift. The piece is on Vintage condition. As you can see in the pictures, there is a small crack on one of the glass door but still very functional.
